Overview

Insights (/insights) transforms prompt run results into actionable AEO and GEO recommendations. After AI answers your monitored questions, Insights analyzes the responses and produces a structured report: summary, gaps, strengths, meta suggestions, follow-up prompts, granular recommendations (meta, content, page, comparison, backlink, messaging), and external recommendations.

Insights are tied to specific prompt runs. Generate them from a completed run or open a saved insights report at /insights/[id].

Prerequisites

1. A Pro (or Agency) plan—Insights is not available on Free.
2. At least one prompt run with Ask ChatGPT results.
3. (Recommended) Complete company setup (description, competitors, keywords) for richer recommendations.

Step-by-step

Generate insights from a prompt run

1. Open a completed run at /prompts/[id].
2. Click View insights (or go to /insights/for-run/[promptRunId]).
3. Click Generate insights and wait for the analysis to complete.
4. You'll be redirected to /insights/[id] with the full report.

Review the insights report

1. Read the Summary for a high-level read on your visibility position.
2. Check Gaps for where AI answers miss your brand or cite competitors instead.
3. Review Strengths to double down on what's already working.
4. Browse Meta suggestions, Follow-up prompts, and Granular recommendations for specific fixes.
5. See External recommendations for off-site actions (forums, directories, third-party content).

Annotate and act

1. Add annotations on any insight section to capture notes for your team.
2. Use deep links to create content from granular recommendations when available.
3. Revisit after implementing changes—run a new prompt run and generate fresh insights.

Open a past insights report

1. From a prompt run with existing insights, View insights links directly to /insights/[id].
2. Annotations and notes are saved on the insights run for future reference.

Tips

• Generate insights after every meaningful prompt run, not just your first—recommendations shift as AI answers change.
• Prioritize granular recommendations tagged as high-impact gaps in discovery prompts.
• Cross-reference gaps with your AI Visibility Score action plan—they often point to the same weak prompts.
• Use follow-up prompts as candidates for new company prompts.
• Pair insights with Query trees to map content gaps across an entire topic.

Is Insights available on the Free plan?

No. Insights requires Pro or Agency. Free users can still run prompts and view the visibility score.

How is Insights different from the visibility score action plan?

The visibility score action plan summarizes per-prompt gaps from scoring logic. Insights is a deeper LLM analysis with meta, content, messaging, and external recommendations.

Can I generate insights without a prompt run?

Insights are always tied to a prompt run with results. Complete a run with Ask ChatGPT first.

Do insights update automatically?

No—you generate insights on demand for a specific run. Create a new prompt run and regenerate after making changes.

Can I create blog posts from insights?

Yes, on Pro. Use content creation links from granular recommendations to start a draft in Content.

What are external recommendations?

Off-site actions—participating in forums, getting listed on directories, or earning mentions on third-party sites that AI systems frequently cite.
