Content hub

Manage blog posts, recommended topics, and the automated post queue from the Content hub at /content.

Overview

Content (/content) is the Act workflow hub for turning monitoring insights into published artifacts. From here you create and manage blog posts, queue automated drafts, and jump to subdomain setup, index checks, Search Console performance, and discovery feeds.

The page shows drafts first (most recently updated), then published posts in chronological order. Each post card shows its status, publish date, and source badges (use cases, keywords, insights, and more) so you can trace what inspired the draft.

Who it's for

  • Content marketers shipping AEO-focused blog posts from Obsurfable insights
  • SEO and growth teams publishing on a connected subdomain without a separate CMS
  • Pro users running automated post generation via the post queue

Prerequisites

  1. A Pro plan — Content and the post queue require Pro.
  2. Complete onboarding and Company setup so AI generation uses accurate brand context.
  3. (Optional) Keywords and use cases for queue items and recommended posts.
  4. (Optional) Enable Automations in Settings to add items to the post queue.

Step-by-step

Open the Content hub

  1. Go to Content in the sidebar or navigate to /content.
  2. Review the shortcut buttons for Connected subdomains, Index status, Search performance, and Feeds & discovery.

Create a new post

  1. Click New post to open /content/new.
  2. Choose Start with blank document or Pull in sources (insights, prompt runs, keywords, and more).
  3. See Creating posts for the full flow.
  1. Scroll to the Recommended posts card on /content.
  2. Suggestions are based on your monitoring data — gaps, insights, and under-covered topics.
  3. Click a recommendation to start a new post with that source pre-selected.

Use the post queue

  1. Find the Post queue card below recommended posts.
  2. Click Add to queue (requires automations enabled in Settings).
  3. Select use cases, keywords, saved queries, and/or scrapbook entries.
  4. Obsurfable processes queue items on a schedule — each job generates a draft post you can edit and publish.
  5. Track status: pending, in progress, completed, or failed. Archive finished items to keep the list tidy.

Open or manage existing posts

  1. Click any post in the list to open /content/[id].
  2. Edit title, slug, description, markdown content, and status (draft or published).
  3. Export Markdown or HTML, or publish to your hosted blog on a connected subdomain.

Tips

  • Fill Setup (keywords, use cases, competitors) before scaling content — generation quality depends on company context.
  • Use the post queue for batch production after a Monitor review; pair it with Insights recommendations.
  • Connect a subdomain early so published posts go live immediately — see Connected subdomains.
  • After publishing, check Index status and re-run prompts to measure visibility lift.
  • Source badges on post cards help avoid duplicating the same use case or insight across multiple posts.

FAQ

Is Content available on the Free plan?

No. Content, the post queue, hosted blog publishing, and related Act features require Pro.

What's the difference between creating a post manually and using the queue?

New post gives you an interactive AI draft with full control over sources and generation options. The post queue batches generation in the background from selected use cases, keywords, queries, or scrapbook entries — ideal when automations are on and you want hands-off draft creation.

Why is "Add to queue" disabled?

Enable Automations in Settings. The queue is processed by scheduled jobs that require automations to be turned on.

How are posts sorted on the list?

Drafts appear first (sorted by last updated). Published posts appear below, oldest to newest by publish date.

Can I export posts without hosting a blog?

Yes. On any post detail page you can copy markdown, or download Markdown or HTML files without connecting a subdomain.
