Upgrade at /subscribe with Stripe checkout, manage Pro and Agency plans, trials, and your subscription.

Overview

Obsurfable offers a Free tier plus paid Pro and Agency subscriptions billed monthly through Stripe. Choose a plan at /subscribe, complete Stripe Checkout, and manage billing from Settings or the Stripe customer portal.

Step-by-step

Subscribe to Pro or Agency

  1. Go to /subscribe (or Settings → Upgrade to Pro).
  2. Select Pro or Agency.
  3. Optionally enter a trial code via ?trial=CODE in the URL or during checkout.
  4. Click Continue to checkout (or equivalent). You're redirected to Stripe Checkout.
  5. Enter billing details and confirm payment.
  6. After success, you return to the app (/?checkout=success) with your plan active.

Manage your subscription

  1. Open /settings.
  2. Under Billing & support, click Manage subscription.
  3. Stripe's customer portal opens—update payment method, view invoices, or cancel.

Upgrade Pro → Agency

  1. Open /settings.
  2. If eligible, click Upgrade to Agency.
  3. Stripe prorates the change; your company limit increases (up to 8 companies on Agency).

Trial codes

  • Pass a code as ?trial=YOURCODE on signup or subscribe URLs.
  • Valid codes apply a trial period before the first charge.
  • Invalid or expired codes show an error before checkout.

Tips

  • You can sign up on the Free plan and upgrade anytime—onboarding is not blocked by billing.
  • Billing address is required at Stripe Checkout.
  • Subscription status in Settings shows Active, Free trial, Past due, Canceled, or Free plan.
  • Agency is the path to multiple companies; Pro is limited to one.

FAQ

When am I charged?
Monthly on your billing cycle. Trials delay the first charge until the trial ends.

Can I downgrade from Agency to Pro?
Use the Stripe customer portal or contact support. You may need to reduce companies below Pro's limit first.

What if payment fails?
Status may show Past due. Update your card in the billing portal to restore access.

Is there an annual plan?
Checkout uses monthly billing as configured in the product catalog.

Do Free users need Stripe?
No. Stripe is only required for Pro and Agency.
