Onboarding

Complete the 9-step wizard to set up your company profile, market context, goals, and keywords.

Overview

Onboarding is a 9-step wizard at /onboarding that creates your first company (brand) workspace. Answers feed prompts, insights, and content generation across Obsurfable. Progress is saved after each step—you can leave and resume where you left off.

Who it's for

Every new account and anyone who adds a new company from the header (each new company goes through onboarding).

Prerequisites

  • A signed-in Obsurfable account with a confirmed email
  • Your company's public website URL

Step-by-step

The wizard shows a progress bar and one step at a time. Click Continue to save and advance; use Back on steps 2–8.

  • Obsurfable may capture a website screenshot in the background (optional; won't block progress).

Step 8 details

  • Add tags by typing and pressing Enter or clicking Add.
  • Keywords, use cases, and competitors can be updated later from the Company page.

Finishing

On step 9, review the summary and click Finish (or Get started) to complete onboarding and go to the dashboard.

Tips

  • Steps 2–7 use quick-select buttons and checkboxes—pick what fits; you don't need perfect answers on day one.
  • Step 5 limits growth tactics to three choices to keep focus.
  • If you add another company later, you'll return to /onboarding for that brand's profile.
  • Onboarding data powers monitoring prompts and the Visibility Director—richer keywords and use cases improve recommendations.
