Dashboard
The Obsurfable dashboard is your workflow hub for Setup, Monitor, Act, and Discover — with visibility scoring, setup health, and quick links to every feature.
Overview
The Dashboard is the home screen of Obsurfable after you sign in. It answers three questions at a glance:
- How visible are we in AI answers right now?
- Is our brand context complete enough for accurate monitoring?
- What should we do next?
Rather than a flat list of features, the dashboard organizes everything into four workflows — Setup, Monitor, Act, and Discover — so your team always knows where to go.
Who it's for
Every Obsurfable user lands on the dashboard. It's especially useful for:
- Team leads checking weekly AI visibility progress.
- New users orienting themselves after Quick start.
- Operators jumping to the right tool without memorizing the sidebar.
Prerequisites
You need a signed-in account with at least one company profile. If you haven't finished onboarding, the dashboard may prompt you to complete setup before full features unlock.
Dashboard layout
Header and summary
The top of the dashboard shows your company name and a short mission statement: monitor how AI answers questions about your brand, act on gaps, and re-measure over time.
Visibility score
The Visibility score card summarizes your current AI presence — mentions, citations, competitor comparisons, and suggested fixes. It updates as you run prompts and improve your site.
Use it as your north-star metric for AEO/GEO progress.
Setup health
Setup health tracks whether your brand context is complete:
- Company profile and goals
- Keywords and use cases
- Competitors
- Sitemap and
llms.txt(when configured)
Each item links directly to the page where you can fix it. Higher setup health means more accurate prompts, insights, and content recommendations.
Citation gaps
The Citation gap card highlights where AI answers cite competitors or third-party sources instead of your URLs — a fast signal for content and structure work.
First-run checklist
New workspaces see a Getting started checklist guiding you through essentials like running your first prompt retrieval. Items disappear as you complete them.
Complete setup banner
If onboarding isn't finished, an amber banner links to /onboarding so you can fill in missing context that improves every downstream feature.
Workflow sections
The main body of the dashboard is divided into four workflow blocks. Each block has a title, description, and a grid of feature cards.
Setup
Brand context for accurate prompts, insights, and content.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Company | Profile, goals, and core brand facts |
| Keywords | Terms that anchor monitoring and discovery |
| Use cases | Outcome-oriented scenarios buyers ask about |
| Competitors | Who AI recommends instead of you |
| Sitemaps | URLs for site analysis and query coverage |
| llms.txt | Intent alignment for AI crawlers |
Setup is the foundation — invest here before scaling Monitor and Act workflows.
Monitor
Observe AI answers and site structure for retrieval gaps.
| Feature | Plan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility score | All | Mentions, citations, competitors, fixes |
| Prompts | Free (limited) / Pro (full) | Run and track AI answers to buyer questions |
| Queries | Pro | Query fan-out trees and URL coverage |
| Site analysis | Pro | Crawl structure and retrieval readiness |
| Settings | Pro (automations) | Scheduled monitoring and automations |
Cards with a lock icon require Pro.
Act
Publish content and replies that improve AI visibility.
| Feature | Plan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Content | Pro | Posts from insights; export or publish on your subdomain |
| Generate response | Pro | On-brand replies for social threads |
Act turns Monitor insights into published artifacts that shift how AI retrieves and cites you.
Discover
Find conversations and sources that shape how AI sees you.
| Feature | Plan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Conversations | Pro | Search Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, YouTube |
| Scrapbook | All | Saved URLs and research notes |
| Annotations | All | All notes across the platform |
Discover helps you influence the broader web narrative that feeds generative answers.

Step-by-step: using the dashboard daily
- Open the dashboard after sign-in (
/in the app). - Check visibility score — Any movement since your last prompt run?
- Scan citation gaps — New competitor citations to address?
- Review setup health — Any incomplete items lowering result quality?
- Pick a workflow — Setup fix, new prompt run, content draft, or conversation search.
- Return after acting — Re-run prompts on Pro to measure impact.
Tips
- Bookmark the dashboard — It's the fastest way back to your visibility snapshot.
- Fix Setup health before scaling Monitor — Incomplete competitors or keywords produce misleading prompt results.
- Use the first-run checklist once, then visibility score weekly — Establish a rhythm instead of ad-hoc checking.
- Locked cards are previews — Click them to see what Pro unlocks; you won't lose free-plan data when you upgrade.
- Pair dashboard checks with site changes — Re-measure after publishing new comparison pages, FAQs, or
llms.txtupdates.
FAQ
Where is the dashboard in the app?
The dashboard is the default home page when you sign in at app.obsurfable.com. The route is /.
Why do some cards show a lock icon?
Locked cards require Pro (or Agency) plan features — such as Query trees, Site analysis, Content, Conversations, or Generate response. Your free account can still use Company, Keywords, Prompts (limited), Scrapbook, and Annotations. See Plans and features.
What's the difference between Setup health and the first-run checklist?
First-run checklist guides brand-new users through initial actions (like the first prompt run) and hides when complete. Setup health is an ongoing score of brand context completeness — useful even months in.
Can I customize what appears on the dashboard?
The dashboard layout is consistent for all users, organized by workflow. Use Settings for automations and scheduled monitoring preferences on Pro.
